Lidia Kelly reported that Ukraine launched one of the largest drone attacks on Moscow on Wednesday, according to the city’s mayor. Russian air defence units destroyed at least 10 drones flying towards the capital. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that some drones were destroyed over the city of Podolsk, which is located south of the Kremlin. Sobyanin said that Russian air defence systems repelled the enemy drones. This attack on Moscow was part of a broader drone attack on Russia by Ukraine, with air defence systems also destroying drones in other regions. There were no casualties or damage reported in the aftermath of the attacks. The full extent of the damage caused by both Ukraine and Russia’s attacks is rarely disclosed unless residential or civilian infrastructure is damaged, or civilians are killed. Both countries seldom provide detailed information about the attacks.
