Tourists stranded in Dubai’s main airports are facing food shortages and dwindling water supplies due to floods disrupting travel. Many passengers, including James and Elizabeth Devine from the UK, are stuck after their flight got diverted to a different airport. They’re relying on duty-free food and are struggling to find essentials for their six-month-old son. Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest, has experienced delays and cancellations affecting hundreds of flights.

Margaret and Derek McArthur, travelers from Scotland, have been stranded for over 13 hours without adequate food or information about their flight to Tokyo. Communication with airlines has been poor, leaving passengers feeling helpless.

Matt Weir, a long-time resident of Dubai, described the dramatic weather change that led to the floods, leaving parts of the city submerged. While some areas are under a meter of water, infrastructure damage is widespread. The UAE experienced its heaviest rainfall in 75 years, causing chaos not only in Dubai but also in neighboring countries like Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
