The Southern Ethiopia Region Anti-Corruption Commission has recovered government assets from the last budget year. These assets were either registered or about to be registered. The commission aims to create a region free from corruption and unethical practices.
Deputy Commissioner Amanuel Abdela reported that the commission worked with local communities and stakeholders. Together, they recovered 181,305,000 birr in government assets. They also conducted awareness campaigns in Southern Ethiopia. These campaigns reached over 1,964,000 individuals in the community, educating them about anti-corruption and malpractice.
