Singapore Airlines Flight SQ308, en route from London Heathrow to Singapore, was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok following severe turbulence that tragically resulted in one passenger’s death.
The incident occurred approximately two hours prior to the flight’s scheduled arrival in Singapore. According to reports, the turbulence was so severe that it caused significant disruption within the aircraft, leading the pilot to divert the flight to Bangkok for the safety of the passengers and crew.
Medical personnel met the aircraft upon landing in Bangkok to assist the injured passengers. Tragically, despite their efforts, one passenger succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time.
Singapore Airlines released a statement expressing their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased passenger. The airline also confirmed that it is providing full assistance to the affected passengers and working closely with the relevant authorities to investigate the incident.
