An alleged spy beluga whale, known as Hvaldimir, was found dead in Norwegian waters with multiple bullet wounds. Animal rights groups are demanding an investigation into the shooting of the whale. Hvaldimir, a beloved whale, was first seen in 2019 wearing a harness that sparked speculation of Russian espionage due to markings on it.

The whale’s death, suspected to be caused by gunshot wounds, is being investigated by authorities in Norway. The whale’s body is undergoing an autopsy to determine the cause of death, with results expected in the next three weeks. Animal activists have filed a police report and are urging quick involvement of the police to solve the mystery surrounding Hvaldimir’s tragic death.
