Joshua McElwee reported that Pope Francis is currently flying to Papua New Guinea from Indonesia on a Garuda Indonesia plane. He will be in the country for the next three nights, after which he will make a trip to Vanimo before leaving on Monday. The pope has been addressing issues of climate change and will continue to focus on environmental concerns during his visit to Papua New Guinea. He has emphasized the importance of protecting the environment throughout his papacy. The pope will have travelled approximately 16,000 km on this trip, his longest one yet. When he returns to Rome, he will have covered nearly 33,000 km.
