Ireland has affirmed its support for Ethiopia’s National Consultation process across various sectors. The National Consultation Commission’s Commissioner, Professor Mesfin Araya, engaged in discussions with Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Defense Minister, Michael Martin, regarding ongoing national consultation efforts.
During the talks, the Deputy Prime Minister shared Ireland’s experiences in peace-building, highlighting the critical role of political commitment and managing diversity in the process of national consultation and peace-building.
They emphasized the significant participation of women in Ireland’s successful peace-building endeavors. According to information from the Ethiopia’s National Consultation Commission, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his firm commitment to backing national consultation process across diverse sectors.
