Apple continuously wowed audiences with cutting-edge products since debuting the original iPhone in 2007. The tech giant unveiled the next-generation iPhone 16 and 16 Pro on Sept. 9 during the “It’s Glowtime” event.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro have distinct differences. The iPhone 16 is for everyday consumers, while the iPhone 16 Pro caters to more “professional” users.

Both phones feature new designs with unique colors and materials. The iPhone 16 comes in aluminum with 85% recycled content, while the iPhone 16 Pro boasts a fully recycled aluminum chassis. Both models have new glass Ceramic Shield material that is tougher than previous models.

Chip upgrades include faster processing and more efficiency. The A18 chip in the iPhone 16 is twice as fast as the previous version, while the iPhone 16 Pro features the A18 Pro chip with a 16-core neural engine.

The Camera Control button on both models makes it easier to capture photos and adjust settings with one hand. The phones also have updated camera modules for improved photography and videography.

The iPhone 16 Pro has a significant upgrade to its microphone and audio system, with studio-quality microphones and spatial audio capture.

Apple Intelligence and Visual Intelligence features enhance language, image recognition, and daily tasks. The iPhone 16 models differ in capacity, size, weight, display, chip, camera, and battery capabilities.

The target market for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro includes users with older models looking for new features and upgrades. The phones are priced starting at $799 for the iPhone 16 and $999 for the iPhone 16 Pro, with availability for pre-order on Sept. 13 and shipping on Sept. 20.
