Ethiopian federal police seized 80 cartons of illegal medications worth over 13,305 euros in Gambella city. They conducted a two-month investigation with the regional police.
Authorities arrested two ambulances carrying the illegal drugs and baby formula to the primary hospital in Gambella. Four people are in custody: two drivers and two medical professionals. They allegedly planned to use hospital funds to cover up the illegal medicines. The police arrested the suspects on August 3, 2016 E.C., and the Ethiopian Federal Police Crime Investigation General Office in Gambella is now investigating the case.
